Optimizing your delivery route

At Amazon Flex, we're committed to offering you the best possible delivery experience. A big part of this is ensuring the delivery route you receive at check-in can be safely completed within the estimated block time. Here is a quick overview of how we design delivery blocks and routes and some of the key routing and navigation features that can help you travel while delivering packages to Amazon customers.

Planning routes for delivery blocks

When it comes to delivery routes, we take into account multiple factors, including the number of packages, the locations of the stops, and historical weather and traffic patterns to ensure the route is safe and manageable. These all help ensure that you can complete your deliveries in the estimated block time provided in your offer.

Receiving your delivery route at the station

When you arrive at the pick-up location, you’ll receive a route that matches the estimated delivery block length shown in the offer you accepted. If you feel your route does not match your confirmed block, please notify a station manager for assistance. Should you choose not to accept your route at the delivery station, your eligibility to participate in the Amazon Flex program may be impacted.

Routing features designed for your needs

When delivering, Amazon Flex maps and navigation offer unique features specifically tailored to Amazon Flex delivery partners. This includes real-time notifications with information on how to stay safe during emergencies, highlighted building outlines to help you easily identify the delivery location, and information to help you arrive on the same side of the street as the delivery location to avoid busy road crossings. As you complete a delivery, you can also choose to view the path to your next stop to make parking and departures easier and adjust how delivery locations are grouped within your suggested route.

Your feedback helps guide the improvements we make for all Amazon Flex delivery partners. We review comments regularly and use them to make updates that help streamline your delivery experience.
