Meet a delivery partner who saved up for two of everything

Jorge joined Amazon Flex soon after he and his wife learned they were expecting twins. A friend recommended Amazon Flex as a great, flexible opportunity to earn some extra money on the side.

“We knew we were going to need a lot of things with the twins coming, and two of some things,” Jorge said. “I work full time for a nonprofit in California and was looking for a straightforward side job that would give me the flexibility to work when I had free time and made sense financially.”

Jorge downloaded the Amazon Flex app and waited for an offer to pop up that fit his needs. After his first delivery, he knew it was the perfect fit. He used his earnings to buy a stroller, car seat, baby clothes, and other essentials that helped set his family up for success. Jorge’s deliveries also helped him discover new places to take his family.

“I was hooked as soon as I started delivering,” Jorge said. “Amazon Flex allowed me to save faster for baby stuff while getting to drive around, which I love. I also got to know more places in the area, found breathtaking vistas, and even found a secluded public beach that I didn’t know existed!”

Jorge took a break from delivering with Amazon Flex when his twins were born, so he could spend every possible moment with his new family. The twins are now almost 6-months old, and Jorge is delivering again to make progress toward his family’s next big goal: a home of their own.

“We’re saving for a down payment,” Jorge said. “I look for same-day blocks that start early in the morning on weekends, so I can be home when my family gets up, and we can start our day together. If there’s an offer that makes sense, I’ll deliver. It works great for us.”
