Meet a delivery partner helping her family get back to school

Kendra joined Amazon Flex after leaving her full-time job, so she could earn money on her own schedule and spend more time with her kids. As summer began to wind down, Kendra focused on saving up to buy back-to-school clothes, so her kids would have what they needed for the coming school year.

“Delivering with Amazon Flex has been a game-changer for me,” Kendra said. “I set my own schedule and know exactly what I’m going to get paid prior to accepting a block. My kids are excited too because my deliveries let me get them more clothes this year than last year.”

Kendra’s deliveries also enabled her to help her kids’ teachers by purchasing some of the teaching supplies they requested for their classrooms.

“Teachers need things for their classrooms, and I always want to be a parent who helps out,” Kendra said.

With her kids back in school, Kendra is turning her focus to her own education.

“Without a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job, I now have the time and energy to go back to school,” Kendra said. “I have an associate’s degree in business administration and want to get a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in human resources.”
