Lilibeth received asylum in the U.S. after leaving Venezuela, and she was determined to make a better life for herself and her family.

Finding a job while learning English was difficult though. For a while, Lilibeth worked at a factory during the day and then headed to work at a restaurant in the evening.

“All of these people in factories and restaurants, they’re amazing people. They have dreams,” Lilibeth said. “My dream was to start my own craft company.”

Each week, Lilibeth set aside $20 to buy craft supplies. It was a good start, but she knew it wasn’t enough to make her dream a reality. That’s when Lilibeth decided to become an Amazon Flex delivery partner.

“I can decide my schedule, the work is wonderful, I do it with my own car, and I earn good money,” Lilibeth said. “Most importantly, I can dedicate time to building my family business."

She delivered three to four times a week early in the morning so she could focus on other priorities for the rest of the day. Lilibeth was able to leave her other jobs and launch a virtual craft company with her daughter. Together, they sell personalized gifts and host online craft classes. Lilibeth also uses her skills and personal experience to help other women open their own businesses and achieve their own dreams.

“I have a board full of orders, and that’s my happiness,” Lilibeth said. “Amazon encouraged me and made my dreams come true.”

Lilibeth plans to continue delivering with Amazon Flex, so she can earn extra money and keep brightening people’s days with her deliveries.

We are so grateful for delivery partners like Lilibeth whose hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, and positive outlook are an inspiration to us all.
