How do I sign up for Amazon Flex? How long will it take to hear back after I sign up?
You can sign up at flex.amazon.com, and we'll reach out with more information based on demand in your area. Response times may vary based on the current demand for Delivery Partners in your area.
What are the next steps after I sign up on flex.amazon.com?
When there is a need for more Delivery Partners in your area, we will reach out with an e-mail inviting you to take a survey to determine your eligibility to deliver with Amazon Flex.
What type of device do I need?
To deliver with Amazon Flex, in most regions, you’ll need to have an Android phone 4.4, or above, with 2 GB of RAM and a phone camera for scanning. In certain select regions, the Amazon Flex app is also available for iOS (iPhone 5 or newer). We’ll let you know what type of device is required in your region when we invite you to take the eligibility survey.
What type of vehicle do I need?
If you are delivering Prime Now orders, you can use any car that can safely and reliably transport Amazon orders to customers.
If you are delivering Amazon.com orders, you'll need to use a 4-door, mid-sized sedan or larger vehicle, such as a truck with a covered bed, SUV, or a van. Smaller cars and trucks with open beds do not qualify.
In some regions we may use bicyclists to deliver orders. In that case, you’ll need a bicycle with a basket and helmet in good condition. You must use a bicycle that is street-legal, complies with the applicable state or city safety requirements and does not require registration as a motor vehicle. As an example of state or city requirements, see the New York Department of Transportation safety requirements for commercial bicyclists (www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/bicyclists/commercial-cyclists.shtml). Motorcycles, motorized bicycles, and motorized scooters do not qualify at this time.

Can I use a borrowed or rented car?
You can use a borrowed or rented car as long as you maintain all licenses, permits, insurance, and other authorization necessary to use the vehicle.

I lost my phone, how do I re-download the app?
Please respond to any previous email you may have received from us and request the link.
I don’t remember my password, how do I reset it?
Go to Amazon.com on your computer and use the "forgot password" feature.
I know the Amazon Flex app downloaded on my Android phone, but how do I find it?
Go to the Google Play store and follow these steps:
1. Download the free app called File Manager by ZENUI, ASUS Computer.
2. In the File Manager app, search for signed or delivered and tap the Amazon Flex app to open it.
I downloaded the app, but I received an error message. What do I do now?
Find the error message below and follow the instructions.
1. On your Android phone, go to Security > Settings.
2. Select Unknown sources.

Try one of these options: A. Check that your Android phone is compatible with the Amazon Flex app:

B. Change your Android phone language to English:
1. On your Android phone, go to Security > Settings > Language and input.
2. Tap Language, and then select English (United States).
C. Disable or uninstall any app that changes the lighting on your phone based on the time of day.
Turn on Location Settings
1. On your Android phone, go to Security > Settings.
2. Tap Location to turn it on. If Location is already on, tap to turn it off, then tap again to turn it on.
Problem Parsing the Packaging
Check that your phone is version Android 4.4 or higher.
Do I need to sign in to the Amazon Flex app with an Amazon account?
If you already have an Amazon account, you can set up your Amazon Flex account using the same email address. If you prefer, you can set up your Amazon Flex account with a different email address.
Can I create more than one Amazon Flex account?
Each delivery partner can only create one Amazon Flex account, because each Amazon Flex account must be linked to a unique social security number.

How do I update my password?
You can change your password by following these steps:
1) Sign in to Amazon.com
2) Click or tap “Your Account”
3) In ”Settings”, click or tap ”Login & Security Settings”
4) On the "Change Account Settings" page, next to "Password", click or tap "Edit"
You can update your email address on Amazon.com by signing in to Amazon.com using the email address that is currently associated with your Amazon Flex account and completing the following steps: Visit "Your Account" (https://www.amazon.com/your-account) and click or tap "Login & Security Settings". On the "Change Account Settings" page, next to "E-mail", click or tap "Edit".
How do I update the address or phone number associated with my account?
After you have completed the onboarding steps in the app, you can update your address and phone number in the app by selecting Account > Basic Information.
How do I update my driver's license expiration date?
After you have completed the onboarding steps in the app, you can update your license information by selecting Account > Driver's License.
What if I'm moving and want to change my region in the app?
Please email us through the app with the region that you would like to be assigned to. After we receive your request, we will start the process of updating your region in the app. Please remember to clear your availability in the app to ensure that you're not inadvertently scheduled for deliveries during your move.
How long will my background check take?
Your background check will typically take about 2 to 4 business days. If you have questions about your background check, please contact Accurate Background at 800-216-8024. Please be aware they may ask for personal information for verification purposes, including your social security number.
What should I do if I need to change the information in my background check application?
Background checks are completed by a third party vendor, Accurate Background. In order to change any information provided in the background check application, contact Accurate Background at 800-216-8024 so they can complete your background check as soon as possible. Please note that Accurate Background may ask for personal information for verification purposes, including your social security number.
Scheduling Delivery Blocks
How do I pick up a delivery block?
There are two ways to pick up delivery blocks: you can set your availability for the upcoming week and you may be confirmed for a delivery block ahead of time or pick up delivery blocks as they become available. Blocks are distributed randomly based on customer demand and availability of the Delivery Partners.
How can I pick up delivery blocks ahead of time?
If you’d like delivery blocks for the upcoming week (Sunday through Saturday), update your availability before noon on Fridays. Currently, you can only set your availability for an upcoming week.
On Friday afternoons, you’ll get a notification in the app that your calendar has been updated. Any dates with confirmed blocks will have an orange dot underneath them in the calendar. From there, you can tap on a specific day to see details.
You will also receive a notification one hour before a confirmed delivery block. If you can’t make a confirmed block, please forfeit it in the app at least 45 minutes before the block start.
Even if you do not receive any blocks for the upcoming week, you can always check for same-day blocks using the "Ready to Deliver Today" button. Extra blocks are opened continuously throughout the day and often go quickly.
Do I need to set my availability in the calendar?
You can look for same-day delivery blocks every day by clicking the "Ready to Deliver Today" button on the home screen. If you do not see the "Ready to Deliver Today" button, this means that you are not able to pick up same-day delivery blocks at that time.
Be sure to check the app throughout the day: these blocks will be available until they are filled, and they may go fast!
The available delivery blocks may fluctuate week to week and are not guaranteed.
Please remember that you can also set up your availability using the calendar feature in the Amazon Flex app to receive delivery blocks ahead of time.
How do I know if I've been confirmed for a delivery block? What if something comes up and I can't deliver during a confirmed delivery block?
We expect that you will be available to make deliveries during the blocks you are confirmed for. If you anticipate that you will be late or unavailable for a confirmed delivery block, forfeit it in the app at least 45 minutes in advance.
To view your availability and upcoming delivery blocks, open the menu in your Amazon Flex app and select "Calendar." If you see a grey dot on a day in the calendar, it means you've set your availability for that day. If the dot is orange, it means you've been confirmed for a delivery block on that day.
From there, you can tap on a specific day to see details. To forfeit a confirmed block, tap "Forfeit This Time" and then swipe to confirm.
To update your availability, tap the "Update My Availability" button on the home screen or calendar in the menu. If there are particular dates for the upcoming week when you do or do not want to make deliveries, it is easy to update availability for that particular day, but make sure you do it before noon on Friday.
Is there a minimum number of deliveries that I need to make to remain eligible to deliver with Amazon Flex?
You do not need to make a minimum number of deliveries to remain eligible to deliver with Amazon Flex.
Can I rely on Amazon Flex as a source of full-time income?
Amazon Flex provides a flexible opportunity for delivery partners looking to turn free time into supplemental or part-time income. The available delivery blocks may fluctuate week to week and are not guaranteed.

How do I know what delivery service area to sign up for?
The first time you log in to the Amazon Flex app after completing all the onboarding steps, you'll be asked to select a service area. A service area is the area where you'll be picking up and delivering packages, and it also determines if you'll be making deliveries to Prime Now customers or Amazon.com customers. You'll only see areas where we are currently onboarding more Delivery Partners. Next to each service area, there will be a note: "Prime Now" or "Amazon.com." If you select a service area with "Prime Now," you will be delivering Prime Now packages. If you select a service area with "Amazon.com," you will be delivering Amazon.com packages.
What to Expect on Day 1
What do I need to wear?
You are free to choose your attire while delivering with Amazon Flex.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
As an independent contractor, you are free to bring anything with you to aid in your delivery process.
What do I do when I arrive at the delivery station?
Tapping "I've Arrived" when you reach the delivery station will let us know you have arrived and are ready to pick up packages. Find the yard marshal or security associate and be prepared to show ID.
Where do I go to start delivering?
After you have been confirmed for a delivery block, the address of the pickup facility will be displayed in the app after you tap "Start" to begin traveling to the pickup facility. You will be able to tap "Start" in the app one hour before the start time of your block.
What should I do if I have a question about a delivery while I'm on the road?
You are welcome to tap the Help button in the app to connect with an agent. The agent will ask you for some identifying details - if you are delivering Prime Now orders you will need to provide 1) the city where you are delivering and 2) the delivery address located on the label. If you are delivering Amazon.com orders, you will need to provide the TBA number that is on the package.
What is a TBA number?
A TBA number is the 12 digit tracking number, preceded by "TBA," that is used for Amazon.com orders. It can be found underneath the bottom barcode on all package labels.
What will I deliver?
You'll deliver Amazon packages. Tens of thousands of items are available through Amazon, including electronics, household essentials, a variety of food items, alcohol, and much more.
When will I be paid?
You are paid on Tuesdays and Fridays. Amazon.com Delivery Partners will be paid: Days Worked: Tuesday-Thursday Payment Date: Friday Days Worked: Friday-Monday Payment Date: Tuesday
Prime Now Delivery Partners will be paid: Days Worked: Monday-Wednesday Payment Date: Friday Days Worked: Thursday-Sunday Payment Date: Tuesday Prime Now Delivery Partners receive payment for blocks only after all tips have been finalized (about 24 hours). While tips process, you'll continue to see estimated earnings. You'll never earn less than the minimum amount shown when accepting a block.
How will I be paid?
You will get paid automatically through a direct deposit to the bank account you provided during registration. Payments typically appear in your account on the next business day.
